American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Jim Arnold has been an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 2002. The AACD is the world’s largest and most well-organized dental organization dedicated to cosmetic dentistry. It strongly encourages and supports the highest standards of ethical conduct and excellence in patient care among all cosmetic dentists.
In 2008, Dr. Arnold was honored to receive the Partners in Peace Award for excellence in complex cosmetic reconstruction for his charity work with the “Give Back a Smile Program.” He was one of only six dentists in the world to receive this award in 2008 when he completed free full-mouth reconstruction for a victim of domestic abuse. See Times newspaper article here.
Dr. Arnold wrote an article describing this complex cosmetic full-mouth rehabilitation for the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry. See JCD article here. Additionally, Dr. Arnold wrote an article that was published in the Cosmetic Tribune (see article here) that was translated and reprinted in several other dental newspapers around the world.
He has participated in major meetings in Orlando, Vancouver, San Diego, Atlanta, Dallas, and Boston. Dr. Arnold feels that it is imperative to constantly learn new techniques. His participation in the AACD helps him to consistently strive for excellence. “The AACD is an incredible organization that is changing the way cosmetic dentistry is practiced, and I’m proud to be a member,” says Dr. Arnold.
